Editing the system proxy bypass list
If your company intranet, your NAS or a local service stops loading once the system proxy is on, those addresses are most likely being sent through the proxy as well. The bypass list exists to exclude them.
Editing the list
- Open Settings and go into the detailed system proxy settings.
- Find Proxy Bypass — a list of addresses separated by semicolons.
- Append what you want excluded, for example 192.168.0.0/16;10.0.0.0/8;*.local;nas.lan.
- Save, then toggle the system proxy off and on again so the new list is written into the OS settings.
Things to keep in mind
The bypass list only applies to the system proxy path. Once TUN mode takes traffic at the virtual adapter level, the list is irrelevant and you need a DIRECT rule instead — see Custom routing rules.
localhost and 127.0.0.1 are already excluded by default. A malformed entry produces no error message at all; it just shows up as some sites behaving strangely, so verify entries one at a time after editing.
