Using TUN mode

TUN mode creates a virtual network adapter that captures all application traffic at the network layer — including CLI tools and games that ignore the system proxy. It is the thorough alternative to the system proxy.

Prerequisites

TUN mode needs the core to run with elevated privileges. Before first use, install service mode in Settings (see the service mode guide) so you never need to launch as administrator again.

Enabling TUN

  1. Open Settings and confirm service mode is installed and active.
  2. Turn on the “TUN Mode” switch.
  3. You can turn off “System Proxy” afterwards — the two need not be on together.
  4. Test from a terminal: curl ipinfo.io returning your proxy egress info means capture works.
